This course will have a variety of lectures pertaining to both medical and tactical topics that affect the Tactical EMS provider. Participants should be able to drag and or carry other individuals as they would do in real life, as well as provide a variety of medical treatments in the kneeling and prone position.
The Tactical EMS provider is an individual that supports a tactical element, such as a municipal SWAT / SRT team or Corrections based SRT / TRT team. Tactical providers are responsible for providing care to the team members as well as the individuals that they are attempting to place into custody.
Below is a list of topics that will be discussed during the three day training. After the lectures course participants will practice the skills in either large groups or smaller groups to build proficiency.
